Dr. Haak’s expertise comes after more than 17 years of clinical experience and 14 years of extensive training . He graduated at the top of his medical school class, achieved outstanding scores on national ophthalmology residency exams, and completed a vitreo-retinal surgery fellowship in Chicago under the mentorship of some of the field’s pioneers.
Dr. Haak is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Amazing experience visiting for first time. I highly recommend this office. The staff is so professional and kind. I had been in ER and was told to see an ophthalmologist. I was unable to get seen but my primary referral. I found Retina center . Dr. Haak was so kind and patient. I was 1 hour late yet he still saw me. He was u set standing and determined my Retinal was not detached. Great news,. If any additional problems he would see me. He reassured I had floaters a sign of aging. He would give a referral when I decided I wanted cataracts repaired. What a wonderful experience. So grateful.

I would like to thank the whole office staff for being so kind, I arrived without an appointment, my fault, but got me in anyway to see the doctor. I can’t say enough about Dr Haak, he always takes his time explaining things to me. I would recommend 100 %the Dr and all his staff. Thanks Dr Haak
No one ever wants to be diagnosed with AMD but if you are, Dr. Haak is the doctor I would recommend and refer everyone else to go to as well. From the first time I stepped into his office, I was greeted by the kindest and most courteous staff that worked there.. They explained everything that I needed to do, answered my questions, and treated me with the utmost respect and care. The entire office was the best example of an office completely professional, obviously well-trained, whose priority was ensuring the safety and well-being of their patients. Dr. Haak took time to answer my questions, explaining all the procedures of something that was very scary and unknown to me when I first walked into his office. He put me at ease with his explanation of what he saw when examining my eyes, what he thought would be needed and the type of treatment he thought would be helpful. I felt completely comfortable that I was in the right office and was in good hands for whatever treatment he determined would be necessary. The eye injections were painless. I highly recommend Dr. Haak. I cannot imagine anyone being better.
I took my mother to see Dr. Hack, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. The front desk staff and everyone we interacted with were professional, courteous, and welcoming. Dr. Hack was very thorough during the examination, took the time to listen carefully, and was both highly knowledgeable and skilled. We truly appreciated the level of care and professionalism throughout the visit. I would definitely recommend Dr. Hack and the entire team.
Dr Haak and the team are outstanding. Very professional and took all the apprehension out of eye surgery for me. The operation was successful and my vision has improved steadily while the eye has been healing. I totally recommend them to anyone and I will surely use them again for anything eye related.

My mom also had an appointment with him the same day, and he treated her with the same warmth, respect, and genuine care. It’s rare to find a physician who makes every patient feel heard and valued.
